To use the St John Fisher VPN you will need to use Internet Explorer version 6 or above.

How to use VPN

Please make sure you use Internet Explorer to open the link above, you may need to copy and paste the link into Internet Explorer if it is not your default browser. Once you navigate to the Remote Access page, you will see the following screen;

Stage one

In the 'Domain\user name' field, highlighted by the Red box, you will need to type the following;

  • SJFCS\your username
e.g. If you login to the school computer with the username ASmith, then type;
  • SJFCS\ASmith
Enter your normal login password into the password field. Please note that the password is case sensitive. Then click the 'Sign in' box that is shown toward the bottom right of the screen.

After a few moments the screen will display the Remote Desktop Services page with a range of applications that you can choose to run. (See below);

Stage two

To run a particular application, double click its icon. After a few moments a dialogue box with a warning may appear, (see below), if so click on the connect button.

Stage three

You will be asked to provide your login details again, use the exact same details from when you first logged in. Remember to include the 'SJFCS\' part before your user name. Click the small arrow pointing to the right of the password box to continue the login (shown in red below).

Stage four

After a few moments your application will open and run as if it were installed on your computer.
